Soon to become one of the leading web3 social networks, Hyper are on a mission to welcome 100 million explorers to the Movement Economy by rewarding them simply for getting out of their homes to discover the world. A fusion between a social media network, a travel app and an NFT marketplace, we knew from the very beginning the team was onto something special.

Hiring us to design their full brand identity, product UX & UI, and website design, Hyper presented us with our favourite challenge - building a web3 brand and product from scratch that Gen Z will fall in love with. The team had a clear vision for product and brand positioning, but they also gave us complete freedom to explore different visual styles, as well as to build the mechanics of the app and its central rewards system.

In experimenting with various visual styles, we settled on a brand personality that is adventurous, magical, exciting, and vibrant. Hyper crafts a world of dreams and endless possibilities, keeping you curious and eager to explore more. It transforms travel into a magical experience, bridging real life with the metaverse. Is it real, or am I dreaming? Charismatic, influential, and incredibly perceptive, our goal was to create a brand that turns dreams into reality, bringing the future into the present and enriching the traveller's experience by guiding them to discover the seemingly impossible.

From map exploration to venue discovery, social interactions, and an NFT marketplace, the product brief was ambitious and challenging. As a consumer app targeting Gen Z, Hyper's native app needed to incorporate much of the brand personality. The excitement of the visual identity was still there, but we balanced it with clean, intuitive user flows that allow users to experience the app with minimal effort. Our focus was on user satisfaction and continuous engagement.

The UX caters to both experienced web3 users and newcomers, introducing adaptive onboarding based on the user's web3 knowledge. The product guides users on a journey to explore the world around them while enjoying the magic of the metaverse.
